So pull up a chair and get it off your chest . . .

My original intention was to write about all the awesome things happening for me BECAUSE I can’t drive myself around — like deepening relationships with my friend-drivers — but then today’s public transportation mis-adventures happened.

[At last count, there were 230 gripe/comments included in the group discussion, but you'll have to join that group to read them and add your own . . . or read on . . .  and add those gripes here.]

1. Five buses and two BART rides today. Mea culpa. I transferred onto one of the wrong buses, so had to go back to where I started . . . home two hours later than otherwise icon sad So pull up a chair and get it off your chest . . .

2. All of this could have been easier because I discovered the Clipper Card — a debit card for public transit so you don’t need to continually pull out the exact change.

  • However, when the automated readers don’t work, you are double-charged. You never know this unless you scrutinize each day’s rides. Then you must call up, wait on hold to interminable elevator music, begin your report to the customer service person, get cut off, call back . . . etc. etc. That’s what I went through after busing around the county.

3. So I was prepared to write this post with the full exasperation of everything-going-wrong and poor-me . . . until my neighbor saw me walking from the bus stop, picked me up before I had to walk up the steep hill to my house, and told me her dad had cancer.

I could have just convinced you not to leave a gripe, and I understand.

So I’m inviting you to click on over to Post #1 “How to become rich & famous on the Web” and help me reach 500 comments on that post. icon smile So pull up a chair and get it off your chest . . .
