Second Featured Post: Chime In on this Important Issue: Seniors/Driving/Loss of Independence

My “Feature Post” is the particular article that is being promoted to encourage conversation around a topic.

Grandma 150x150 Second Featured Post: Chime In on this Important Issue: Seniors/Driving/Loss of IndependenceThis month I am featuring the story about the last time my mom was DRIVING MISS SHARI. The first commenters to the blog post shared their stories of memories and current situations where  a Senior should NOT have been driving.

Do you have a loved one who should not be driving — or shouldn’t have been?

Did you take any actions? Should you have?

Does your state have laws that help you take the keys away? Should your state make those policies.

And then . . . what can we do to support our Seniors who have lost their independence because they can no longer drive themselves? My short experience without driving privileges gave be a taste of how life changes in huge ways — too many, way too many – things we take for granted, and do not appreciate enough.

Please read the story and tell me what you think:
