I needed something in my life that I was passionate about and also a form of release where I could just write about something I knew I was good at. Just like Julie Powell, I am not a pro and I understand what it is like to mess up and have to start all over again. I wanted to communicate that to others who may be timid in the kitchen to not get discouraged and stick to it. Practice does make perfect in the kitchen and it can be fun too!
